In the sunny southwest of Germany, between the Upper Rhine and the southern Black Forest, lies the Markgräflerland region, blessed with beautiful nature and a mild climate. The combination of numerous hours of sunshine, Baden hospitality, good cuisine and the sun-drenched wines of the region make this “little garden of paradise” so charming and attractive. One of the oldest wines in the world has its main cultivation area here – the Gutedel, a white wine with a delicate aroma and pleasant character.
The good location in the so-called “border triangle” of Switzerland – France – Germany offers you an ideal starting point for numerous excursions and activities. The nearest major cities are Freiburg (Germany), Basel (Switzerland) and Strasbourg / Colmar (France), and the northern Black Forest with its impressive coniferous forests is not far away.
