CASSIOPEIA THERMAL SPA

Badenweiler rightly bears the title “Acquae Villae – City of Water”. The main contribution to the cures and healing methods in Badenweiler is made by the precious thermal water, which is enriched with valuable powers on its way through the rock strata of the Black Forest. It contains hydrogen carbonate, sulphate, calium and sodium and forms the basis for various forms of therapy such as aqua, balneotherapy and hydrotherapy.
In the Cassiopeia thermal spa, just a 10-minute walk from the Schwarzmatt, you will find health and wellness under one roof on a generous 3,800 m²: various thermal baths, a Roman-Irish bath, a wonderful sauna area, complemented by a wide range of massages and cosmetics – care and pleasure for body and soul.

Badenweiler is the only place in Germany participating in the “Roman Thermal Spas of Europe” project. This project is dedicated to preserving the two-thousand-year-old heritage of the Romans, who already combined wellness with health care in an appealing spa culture.

By the way: according to experts, the Roman bath ruins in the spa gardens are the largest and best-preserved thermal bath ruins north of the Alps and are definitely worth a visit! In the ruins, which are spanned by a glass dome, the ancient Roman bathing culture comes to life with the help of a multilingual video installation.
